Raymond "Ray" Walker Hicks is a South Carolina-born musician, storyteller, and creative visionary whose career blends technology, art, and performance. From building a life-sized robot at 15 for The Solidarity Singers to performing worldwide — including Riverdance in Dublin, gospel tours in Tokyo and Italy — Ray's work spans continents and genres.
In 2013, he founded SpooLoo LLC, later launching SpooLoo Animation and its flagship creation, The Spoolies. In 2025, he expanded with SpooLoo Publishing Group, producing books, eBooks, and audiobooks for audiences of all ages.
